When you adopt a dog, you save a life.

Please have a look at all the amazing dogs we have for adoption in our centers and our foster program. If you would like more information on a pet found here please fill out an adoption application (filling this out does not secure an adoption) and a member of our adoption team will reach out. Be sure to include the pet’s name and ID# in the subject line. In the email please include your phone number and email address and someone will contact you as soon as possible. (Please allow 24 hours for return contact)

Take a look at our SAPA! Urgents and Adoptables Facebook page for dogs in immediate need of foster or adoption.

To see what each adoption requires and includes, please visit our Adopt page.

Adoption Application Disclaimer:  Filling out the adoption application does NOT guarantee a hold or confirmation of adoption on the pet you applied for.  All applications are reviewed and must be accepted by our trained counselors before a pet is adopted.  Please allow 24-48 hours for our adoption team to contact you in regards to your application.

Hi! My name is Dannie, I'm 6 years old and I want to be your best friend! I love going on walks, and I get really excited when I see you get the leash out! I also really love belly rubs so I'll flop on my back if you come up to me while I'm laying down. My three favorite activities duing the day are walking, sleeping, and getting pets. When you come home I'll be sure to greet you with a wagging tail and a wiggly butt. My foster mom says I have good manners because I don't jump on people, chew on things, pull on the leash, or react to other dogs on a walk. Best of all, I know I need to go potty outside only! I have some arthritis, but I don't let it get in the way of fun. I would love to be apart of a family with lots of people! Watch my Video! I am currently located at San Antonio Pets Alive! and I am in a foster home. By adopting me, you not only give me a new leash on life; you also save the life of the additional dog who can be rescued from euthanasia and placed in foster care. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the adoption application found on the website at After we pre-screen your application we will connect you with the pet. Send an e-mail to with pet's name and ID# for other questions. Please allow us up to 24 hours to respond because all fosters work with us on a volunteer basis.
