Hi everyone, I'm Floyd!! I'm a gentle, loving boy who is looking for my forever home. Even though the veterinarian says I'm about 4 years old, my foster parents think I might be a little older. No one really knows because I was a stray who was found wandering the streets. I'm a reaaaally timid guy, but I've come a long way in the few months I've been living with my foster family! At first I was so scared that I spent all my time hiding behind a bed with my nose in the corner. Now that I'm starting to understand that I'll never be hurt by a human again, it's opening my eyes to a whole new world! I spend most of my time sleeping in my parents' bed, but I always listen when they tell me to move. Sometimes I get a little pep in my step and try to play with my foster sister outside. She's teaching me what it's like to be a dog livin' the good life. Even when I get excited, I'm still very mellow. I like to have my head scratched, but only by people I know and trust!! Even though I'm a scared guy, I've never shown any type of aggression. I just hide in a corner or under the bed. I've been around kids, but they're a little too loud for me, so I'd prefer to live in a house with adults. It'd be great if there was another very friendly dog already there, because I'd follow their lead when it was time to go outside or get in a car. I'm a very well-mannered boy who hasn't had one accident since I moved in! Everyone who meets me can tell I've been neglected in my past, but once you give me some time to warm up, I'll show my funny, quirky, loving personality!! I am living in a San Antonio Pets Alive! foster home. By adopting me, you not only give me a new leash on life; you also save the life of an additional pet who can be rescued from euthanasia and placed in foster care. If you are interested in adopting me, please email with my name and ID#. Please allow up to 24 hours to respond, as all fosters work on a volunteer basis.
