When you adopt a dog, you save a life.

Please have a look at all the amazing dogs we have for adoption in our centers and our foster program. If you would like more information on a pet found here please fill out an adoption application (filling this out does not secure an adoption) and a member of our adoption team will reach out. Be sure to include the pet’s name and ID# in the subject line. In the email please include your phone number and email address and someone will contact you as soon as possible. (Please allow 24 hours for return contact)

Take a look at our SAPA! Urgents and Adoptables Facebook page for dogs in immediate need of foster or adoption.

To see what each adoption requires and includes, please visit our Adopt page.

Adoption Application Disclaimer:  Filling out the adoption application does NOT guarantee a hold or confirmation of adoption on the pet you applied for.  All applications are reviewed and must be accepted by our trained counselors before a pet is adopted.  Please allow 24-48 hours for our adoption team to contact you in regards to your application.

Meet Sadie. She's approximately three years old. She's a super sweet girl but she's feral and Leary of humans. She's happy playing in the yard chasing squirrels and birds. She likes other dogs. She has a high prey drive so do not recommend cats or other small animals. Though she's still afraid of humans she wants to be called in the home so she can cuddle on the couch or bed. If you are walking around she watches but as soon as you sit/lay down she wants to be right next to you. She's potty trained and uses the pet door to go out but will not come into the house unless invited. She understands she can come through the pet door to come in but the house invite us so important to her. She's really a loving girl, just needS a family that understands she's still learning about humans. She's a real treat to have around. I am living in a San Antonio Pets Alive! foster home. By adopting me, you not only give me a new leash on life; you also save the life of an additional pet who can be rescued from euthanasia and placed in foster care. If you are interested in adopting me, please email with my name and ID#. Please allow up to 24 hours to respond, as all fosters work on a volunteer basis.
