ADOPT A DOG
When you adopt a dog, you save a life.
Please have a look at all the amazing dogs we have for adoption in our centers and our foster program. If you would like more information on a pet found here please fill out an adoption application (filling this out does not secure an adoption) and a member of our adoption team will reach out. Be sure to include the pet’s name and ID# in the subject line. In the email please include your phone number and email address and someone will contact you as soon as possible. (Please allow 24 hours for return contact)
Take a look at our SAPA! Urgents and Adoptables Facebook page for dogs in immediate need of foster or adoption.
To see what each adoption requires and includes, please visit our Adopt page.
Adoption Application Disclaimer: Filling out the adoption application does NOT guarantee a hold or confirmation of adoption on the pet you applied for. All applications are reviewed and must be accepted by our trained counselors before a pet is adopted. Please allow 24-48 hours for our adoption team to contact you in regards to your application.
I'm Miss Princess Layla! I love life and although I had a rough time some time ago it hasn't taken away my zest for life. San Antonio Pets Alive found me and took me in after I was hit by a car. I broke both my back legs, my pelvis and my tail. However, that didn't slow me down ! I am fully recovered and love love to run and play. In my current foster home I live with 4 small dogs and 3 cats. I get along with all of them. I learn quickly and love to cuddle. I do well with children too! One of my foster humans is 12 years old and I do love her very much. I'm ready for my Furever home. My perfect home would be a semi active house hold because I love walks, running and also just relaxing around the house! I do well in my crate too. Please give me a chance to be your dog. My heart is full of kindness and I am so eager to please !
I'm Princess! I'm 1.5 years old and a retriever mix. I'll get right to the chase... San Antonio Pets Alive found me and took me in after I was hit by a car. I broke both my back legs, my pelvis and my tail. When I was feeling a little better, I was moved into my current foster home. Here I have gained 4 foster siblings and 2 foster parents. I've gone from laying on the couch and hardly playing or giving any of them attention, to playing nonstop and wanting to say hi to everyone I see!! As much as I love it here, I'm so ready to go to my Furever home. My perfect home would be a semi active house hold. Although I love families, I'd also do amazing with a single owner. With me still being a puppy, I still have a few manners to pick up. Please give me a chance for me to be your soul mate.
I am currently located at San Antonio Pets Alive! and I am in a foster home. By adopting me, you not only give me a new leash on life; you also save the life of the additional dog who can be rescued from euthanasia and placed in foster care. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the adoption application found on the website at https://sanantoniopetsalive.org/adopt/ After we pre-screen your application we will connect you with the pet. Send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org with pet's name and ID# for other questions. Please allow us up to 24 hours to respond because all fosters work with us on a volunteer basis. To find out how you can get involved and help turn San Antonio into a no-kill city, please visit us at www.sanantoniopetsalive.org
