Piper is just the sweetest mama imaginable. While she was a little shy at first, it was to be expected coming from the loud shelter environment with her three little pups! Once in a quiet environment, she warmed up to me very quickly. She is very gentle when taking treats from my hand and will make a great companion animal for someone, as she always wants to be by my side. She is very food motivated which will aid in training as well. She gives the best sighs of contentment when you scratch just the right place by her ears. She is housebroken. She also LOVES to be outside even though she wants to make sure her human is always within her sight. She is great with other dogs and going great with all of the 9 other dogs in her foster home. Her foster is a dog trainer and is currently working on crate training her, teaching her new manners and training her how to trust humans. She is around 2 years old and learning how to be dog. She was likely a stray for awhile so she learning what it is like to be loved. She has a calm and submissive personality. She learning how to be comfortable playing humans. She is so goofy and adorable learning to play. She is currently waiting to be spayed, once her milk has completely dried up. I am currently located at San Antonio Pets Alive! and I am in a foster home. By adopting me, you not only give me a new leash on life; you also save the life of the additional dog who can be rescued from euthanasia and placed in foster care. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the adoption application found on the website at After we pre-screen your application we will connect you with the pet.
