Rebecca Mayberry brings more than 25 years of experience in leadership, fundraising, and marketing to San Antonio Pets Alive! Prior to SAPA!, Rebecca served as the National Manager of Development at the Petco Foundation, where she worked to secure gifts from both corporations and individuals and oversaw several highly successful national projects. In addition, she worked at Best Friends Animal Society where she managed a team of seven and focused on creating strategies to secure individual gifts, developing stewardship plans and managing donor events. Rebecca lives in the San Antonio area with her husband and six rescued dogs and cats.
Tiffany Galvan is a San Antonio native with over 10 years experience within the Non Profit and Business Sectors. As a graduate of St. Mary’s University with a Bachelor of Arts in English-Communications, Tiffany has committed herself to be a voice for the voiceless. Her professional training and accomplishments include grant writing, grants management, fundraising, development, donor relations, event planning, account management, blogging, public relations, marketing, and capacity building. As the previous VP of Development and Programs for San Antonio for Growth on the Eastside (SAGE), Tiffany utilized her love of grant writing to elevate the historic Eastside. Having rescues herself, Tiffany knows the value that an animal brings to each individual.
Kate Powell joined the San Antonio Pets Alive! team in early 2018. A graduate of the University of Southern Indiana, her focus upon graduation was animal-assisted therapies and interventions which steered her into a career of helping animals. Kate’s work in animal welfare began at Wildlife rescue and rehabilitation Inc., rehabilitating injured, orphaned and displaced animals due to Texas wildfires. Throughout her ten year career, Powell has worked with native wildlife, companion animals, exotic wildlife in sanctuary and farm animals. Kate enjoys spending time with her adopted family of dogs and cats.
A native of San Antonio and graduate of Texas Christian University, Joanna's career began as a communications coordinator, handling the public relation efforts for well-known state and local clients and non-profits. Since her time at SAPA!, Joanna has completely revamped the organization's fundraising through marketing efforts. She has increased email giving by 10,000%, social media giving by 458% and has successfully raised the most in SAPA!'s history through direct mail. Joanna is a proud dog mom after *attempting* to temporary foster for SAPA!’s Headin’ Home Transport Program.
