San Antonio, TX (December 2023) – San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!), is thrilled to announce a groundbreaking $1.5 million dollar grant from Petco Love to support SAPA!’s mission to save the lives of cats and dogs at risk of euthanasia. This significant grant marks the initiation of SAPA!'s capital campaign, Paws for Change, and unwavering commitment in lifesaving.

This gift is the beginning of fundraising for our capital campaign, with an ultimate goal of $6.5 million dollars. This marks the beginning of our expansion efforts, dedicated to saving lives and creating enduring positive effects for numerous cats and dogs.," said Rebecca Mayberry, Executive Director of San Antonio Pets Alive!.

SAPA! is a high-volume rescue in San Antonio, making a substantial impact since its establishment in 2011. Saving over 68,000 cats and dogs, SAPA! has been a vital safety net for animals that face challenges and find themselves on the brink of euthanasia.

Petco Love presented the $1.5 million dollar grant to SAPA! on December 14th at the San Antonio Pets Alive! Petco Love Adoption Center, located at 6001 NW Loop 410, Suite 103, San Antonio, TX 78238.

SAPA!'s capital campaign, Paws for Change, entails purchasing a property to establish a homestead animal shelter, sanctuary, and rescue location that will serve as a lifeline for countless animals in need.
