I have an incredible story to share with you - a story of resilience, determination, and the power of compassion- Jacquotte’s story.
Jacquotte was brought into San Antonio Pets Alive!'s (SAPA!) care on July 18, 2023, urgently needing medical attention. At that time, she was a fragile kitten weighing only 0.9 pounds! She had an eye infection so severe that it required an enucleation.
SAPA!’s lifesaving team sprang into action, working tirelessly to ensure Jacquotte received the medical care and attention she needed. However, we discovered that she had tested positive for the Panleukopenia virus - a severe and life-threatening condition. This disease causes depression, anorexia, high fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and severe dehydration.
For 10 long days, Jacquotte fought tirelessly. She received round-the-clock care, medication, and constant monitoring. Miraculously, she overcame and beat Panleukopenia virus!
On August 11, 2023, Jacquotte underwent eye enucleation surgery. Jacquotte has been staying at our Medical Care and Adoption Center, where she has fully recovered and is now eagerly awaiting her forever family to adopt her!
Jacquotte is just one of many kittens who rely on your compassion to receive the critical medical care they need. Jacquotte's surgery and ongoing care is estimated to exceed $1,500.
We are reaching out to ask for your help. Your gift, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in Jacquotte's life and the lives of other animals in need. Your kindness and generosity truly make the difference.
