Last week, a spotted, tiny pup arrived at our city shelter with a fractured leg and a positive test for parvo. Facing the grim fate of euthanasia due to the parvovirus, she found hope when our rescue team intervened. 

San Antonio Pets Alive! stands among the rare few rescues in Texas that intentionally take in puppies with parvo. Without immediate medical intervention, parvo is fatal. During treatment for the virus, we discovered that the poor little pup, Mozart, indeed had a fractured front leg. Fortunately, surgical intervention wasn't necessary, but she will need a cast until her bone naturally mends.
