Nyar is a helpless two-month-old puppy who has had a rough start in life, at no fault of his own. This poor puppy was placed in a box and surrendered to ACS just moments before closing time. He ended up being placed on the ACS euthanasia list last week. Our lifesaving team saw this tiny seven-pound puppy in poor condition and knew we needed to save his life.
Once Nyar came into our care, our lifesaving team was able to examine this sweet boy closely. Sadly, this precious boy was severely infested with ticks and fleas. The inside of his ears, chest, and body were covered with crawling insects. With great care, we removed each tick, and Nyar was given a gentle bath. This poor boy also came in with a wound around his neck and has a possible fractured right paw. We are still determining the best treatment for his medical care, but we expect the cost of his treatment, possible x-rays, preventative care, and aftercare to be approximately $700.
Nyar is currently in our Building One Rescue Center and urgently needs a medical foster that can care for him until he gets all the treatment he needs to recover fully. He is extremely scared and needs a family to help him learn trust and thrive. Please complete a foster application here if you are interested in fostering him.
