Blooming like springtime, Tulip scatters joy with every paw print.
Sweet little Tulip, found as a stray puppy, roamed the city streets, moving slowly with a noticeable limp. Tulip found herself at the city shelter and as soon as her stray hold ended, we stepped in immediately to save her life. At barely six-months-old she brims with boundless joyous energy. Eager to play, jump, and run, yet each step is marred by pain, her right hip bearing the scars of damage.
We brought her to a specialist for x-rays, revealing damage to her right Coxofemoral Joint (hip joint). The cause remains uncertain, but Tulip is scheduled for an FHO – Femoral Head Ostectomy and she is receiving pain medication and anti-inflammatories until her surgery date.
Given Tulip's young age and overall health, she's expected to fully recover from her leg amputation procedure. With this hurdle behind her, she can look forward to a long, joyful life brimming with boundless happiness, playful jumps, and endless puppy kisses.
Her amputation surgery is estimated to cost over $1,000.
